How to: Import data from other programs and file formats.
Solution:
Open the database to which to import data, select 'Get External Data' from the 'File' menu and select 'Import...', specify the database to import, click 'Import', and follow any instructions displayed on the screen.

To import data from other programs and file formats:
1) If the destination database (the database to which to import data) is not already open, open the database.
2) (Optional) Activate its Database window:
a) Select the 'Window' menu.
b) Select the name of the database.
3) Select the 'File' menu and select 'Get External Data'. (A submenu appears.)
4) Select 'Import...' from the submenu. (The Import dialog box appears.)
5) Select the type of database file to import from the 'Files of type' drop-down list box.

6) Select the drive where the source database (the database from which to retrieve data) is located from the 'Look in' drop-down list.

7) Select the folder that contains the source database from the 'Look in' list box. (The database file is displayed.)
NOTE: If the database file is in a subfolder, continue selecting folders until the desired database file is displayed.
8) Select the database file. (The file is highlighted.)

9) Click 'Import'. (Depending on the selected format, different import wizards appear.)
10) If the source database has a database password:
a) Type the password in the 'Password' box.
b) Click 'OK'.
11) Follow any instructions displayed by the wizard to import the database file.
12) Click 'OK' when the import is complete.
